Scope of Role:

The Director of Human Resources is charged with developing, organizing and executing all Human Resources strategies for the organization. This includes responsibility for talent acquisition, talent management, talent development, organizational development, compensation, compliance and employee relations.

Duties and Responsibility:

The primary function of this role is to serve as a value-add strategic partner to the President and SLT, responsible for enabling achievement of strategic initiatives through proactive human capital management and development. This position sits on the SLT, with direct reports on the BAND-IT Denver and BAND-IT UK site leadership teams. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Strategic Alignment and Execution

  • Set global HR strategy in alignment to critical business priorities; provide a vision for HR team to execute in partnership with local leadership teams.

  • Provide inputs in key strategic processes such as Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan and Goal Deployment.

Organizational Talent Development

  • Drive Organization and Talent Cycle (OTC) throughout the year, including facilitation of annual Talent Review process, identification of high potential talent, and action plans to maximize employee potential and meet strategic needs of the business.Construct and execute individual development plans in partnership with leaders.

  • Facilitate and direct training initiatives; leadership development, employee skills training and development.

  • Direct Workday performance management process; ensure all employees receive goals and feedback.

Direction of HR Team and Function:

  • Mentor and coach direct reports to develop skills and capabilities to ensure their success, growth and personal development.

Employee Engagement

  • Support annual engagement survey process; partner with SLT and LT to drive high participation.

  • Analyze results of annual survey; identify and facilitate small group meetings to gain a deeper understanding of the data and potential improvement areas.

  • Partner with managers to develop action plans at the point of impact (within each team of >5 employees); conduct pulse surveys to gauge improvement, as necessary.

  • Be a catalyst in building an inclusive culture; driving high retention and low voluntary turnover.

  • Drive comprehensive and effective employee communications.

Talent Acquisition

  • Deliver a recruitment plan that aligns with strategic objectives, incorporates traditional and non-traditional recruitment sources and ensures the casting of a “wide net” to attract and introduce qualified diverse candidates to the organization.

  • Develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan designed to institutionalize top-grading and the continuous improvement of the business’ talent pool.

Leadership Development

  • Push team development process to build AA Senior Leadership Team and critical teams.

  • Identify specific development areas and provide feedback to President and peers.

  • Offer timely feedback as opportunities arise to improve individual and team performance.

Compensation, Benefits and Payroll/HRIS

  • Manage compensation plans; prepare and implement annual salary plans, develop and align compensation plans to drive desired employee and business performance.

Compliance and HR Administration

  • Act as the group’s Ethics Officer to coordinate and handle compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate policy requirements.


  • Bachelors in Human Resources or related field or advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in HR role including supervisory assignments with experience supporting senior leaders

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability and experience working in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment

  • Prior employee relations experience

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering or Lean manufacturing environment is desired.

  • Approximately 20% travel

  • The estimated compensation for this position is $150,000-180,000.

  • This position is also eligible for short- and long-term bonuses.
