SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Talent Acquisition Specialist - Temp will support BAND-IT’s strategic plans and participate in the development of overall human resources initiatives in line with building a highly engaged workforce. We need a leader who effectively moves between strategic long-term programs and the day to day tactical work of a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The position will partner with other HR team members and cross-functional leaders by providing coaching and support on all matters related to people. Building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels is essential.
This position is focused on recruiting top talent and the initial onboarding experience, diversity equity and inclusion, and other HR projects in support of the business.
REPORTING TO : Director of Human Resources
Manage the Recruiting and Selection process. Ownership to include:
Develop a comprehensive process to include roles, responsibilities, tools, forms, expectations, trainings and improvement in the time to hire metrics
Track open positions for BAND-IT on appropriate tracking tools
Utilize HR team members as appropriate for participation in the process
Partner with hiring managers to find and attract top talent
Manage the full life cycle recruitment process for candidates from defining job requirements, advertising, selection, and onboarding
Create recruiting tools and search strategies to include postings, ads, selection matrixes and interview guides
Partner with recruiting firms as appropriate
Ensure a diverse slate of candidates is considered for each role
Lead HR team on diversity and inclusion efforts with an emphasis on attracting and retaining diverse talent.
Stay up to date on the latest recruiting industry trends/tools and share best practices
Ensure compliance by maintaining active postings and candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System;
Advocate for appropriate hiring needs to leadership while considering budgetary constraints
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
A Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources
Proven experience in full life cycle recruiting, ideally in a manufacturing environment
Strong consultative relationship building with leaders and employees
Ability to establish credibility and get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible
A results-oriented and detail-oriented focus
Prior success in developing new processes and leading requisitions at a time
Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS) a must.
Experience with ATS, ideally Workday Recruiting
Requires use of hands and arms at least 60% of the time.
Majority of the time is spent sitting.
Lifting requirements are generally less than 10 lbs. Manual lifting could reach the company maximum of 50 lbs.
