Our fluidics team is located across Oak Harbor, WA, Rohnert Park, CA, Bristol, CT, and Middleboro, MA. This is a contract role supporting the organization on compensation, recruiting, benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, performance management and talent development. The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) assists the department in the essential areas of human resources, covering but not limited to: Recruiting activities, benefits and open enrollment, data integrity in all systems, time keeping, new hire orientation, government regulations and AAP/EEO compliance, and other assigned tactical tasks as needed.


The ideal candidate will have proven experience working across multiple HR disciplines and have experience with both hourly and salary workforce, collaborating directly with the employees and managers. This role is a member of the global HR team across IDEX Health & Science as well as IDEX Corporation.

  • Builds trust-based, collaborative relationships with managers and employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Support change initiatives and implement specific HR strategies to achieve organization goals and objectives. Support organizational restructuring activities as needed.

  • Own and participate in various HR projects; these will require coordination of details, tracking, scheduling and tactical execution of project plans.

  • Process transactional events in the HRIS throughout the entire employee lifecycle.

  • Assist with the recruiting of hourly positions and temp to perm conversions activities.

  • Provide HR support to ensure compliance with State, Federal laws and regulations and industry accepted standards.

  • Provide and interpret HR guidelines and procedures as related to business unit and IDEX.

  • Assist the department with data integrity.

  • Monitor the time keeping activity for all hourly employees in Kronos and administer the necessary adjustments.

  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation and onboarding.

  • Enter training records in the system and maintain training records (hard copies) orderly.

  • Partner with the safety committee to help lead safety initiatives.

  • File worker comp claims and maintain worker comp records.

  • Coordinate charitable and employee activities.

  • Help maintain EEO/AA programs and activities.

  • Perform other tasks assigned by HR as needed.


  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources.

  • Strong consultative relationship building with leaders and employees. Ability to establish credibility and get along with diverse personalities while tactful, mature, and flexible.

  • A results-oriented focus.

  • Prior success in developing new processes.

  • Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

  • Strong administrative skills.


  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Solid understanding of labor laws, state and federal

  • Experience with KRONOS and Workday

  • SHRM-CP or PHR Certification
