The Corporate Office Human Resources Manager leads human resources initiatives and functions for the IDEX Corporate office by planning, creating, and executing human resources strategies and partnering and supporting assigned leaders in order to drive sustained results and excellence. This role reports to the Vice President of HR, Corporate Functions. The HR Manager will drive our mission by working with leaders across the corporate office to ensure IDEX is a place where we create an environment where our team members are invited to do and be their best every single day.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Manage and execute day to day human resource related activities and needs. These will include but not be limited to the following:
Lead and execute strategic human resource initiatives that are in-line with business objectives to drive results while ensuring alignment with corporate direction, strategic initiatives and human resources best practices (e.g., talent acquisition, development and training; employee engagement; succession planning; onboarding; performance management; team development; legal/regulatory compliance; compensation, HRIS, safety and benefit policies and practices).
Partner with leaders to assess human resources needs that will help drive business results and proactively recommend solutions.
Collaborate with corporate departments and teams to develop and maintain human resources-related processes and metrics that drive results and effectively address the needs and concerns of the organization.
Support the development and maintenance of a talent strategy and performance-oriented culture by communicating, teaching, influencing, and supporting the execution of consistent processes and routines around talent assessment, succession planning, recognition, and performance management.
Accelerate team development by utilizing available team assessment and development tools
Partner with leaders regarding employee and management development needs, identifying and facilitating activities to improve skills, encourage career development and build bench strength.
Provide expertise and guidance in situations involving employee relations, unemployment, compliance, safety, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and leave management.
Manage employee issues and concerns to satisfactory resolution and provide guidance to supervisors and managers addressing employee issues.
Conduct employee investigations as they arise
Provide interpretation and guidance relative to company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
BS/BA or equivalent in Human Resources or related area is preferred
Minimum 3-5 years HR Generalist experience
Knowledge of core Federal and State laws pertaining to employee/labor relations
High level of oral and written communication skills
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Ability to work with minimal guidance and oversight
Narrows in on the critical few priorities
Demonstrated ability of role modeling the IDEX values of Trust, Team and Excellence
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and procedures for recruitment, assessment/selection, training, compensation and benefits and HRIS
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in human capital management, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques and organizational effectiveness
Skills in managing and evaluating human behavior and performance in the workplace; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation.
Experience with HR program development to attract, reward and retain employees.
