IDEX Payroll Administrator in Northbrook, Illinois

Payroll Administrator- Remote opportunity

The payroll administrator will be responsible for timely and accurate end to end processing of multi-state payrolls, accounting support, generating reports and other responsibilities. In addition they will partner with HR, accounting and local users located in business units to ensure transactions are properly processed and reflected in the general ledger. Additionally, they are responsible for the day to day operations and support of the payroll department.

Job Requirements:

  • Processes hourly and salary payroll per established guidelines, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local governmental regulations and company policy.

  • Collects, audits and inputs time and attendance data as well as supports the corporate time keeping system (UKG Dimensions).

  • Maintains payroll records in accordance with payroll record retention policy.

  • Ensure that the calculation and withholding of deductions are accurate.

  • Entry of direct deposit, W4 and other information.

  • Audit and review information for completeness and accuracy.

  • Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding the calculation of pay.

  • Assist with the development and documentation of payroll procedures and recommend improvements or changes to achieve greater accuracy and efficiency.

  • Maintain, process and respond to garnishments and income assignments.

  • Assist with a variety of duties such as but not limited to: data entry, data validation, Human Resources, Payroll and Timekeeping systems configuration, testing and maintenance.

  • Generate adhoc payroll reports using systems report writers and respond to data requests.

General:

  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Detail oriented with strong data entry skills with the highest focus being on accuracy and quality.

  • Focus on customer service with an emphasis on building relationships with co-workers, business partners and employees.

  • Demonstrates personal flexibility in approach and ideas and is willing to support changes in responsibility, procedures and systems.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage customer expectations.

  • Advanced Excel skills to analyze and balance payroll detail.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in business, finance or accounting

  • Experience with Workday Payroll and UKG (Formerly Kronos) Timekeeping

  • No less than 5 years experience processing large multi-state payrolls

  • Knowledge of payroll, payroll tax and human resources procedures

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to gather requirements and write reports in a reporting system

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $65,500.00 - $98,300.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
