The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources department, with a primary emphasis on payroll preparation, HRIS administration, recruitment, and employee engagement activities. This role will also focus on assisting with core HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, training and development, and compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and a strong employee advocate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary point of contact for employees with inquiries related to payroll, compensation, PTO, and benefits.
Performs all necessary data input in preparation for bi-weekly payroll with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Facilitates recruiting and new hire process including coordinating interviews, preparing interview schedules, scheduling travel, conducting pre-employment screenings, preparing badges, and completing new hire paperwork.
Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action if needed.
Responsible for maintaining accurate information within the company’s HRIS.
Processes, verifies and maintains personnel related documentation
Maintains employee files and records in electronic and paper form including training documentation.
Oversees and maintains the HR bulletin boards, office directories, digital signage, etc.
Manages Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) voucher program including tracking eligibility and issuing vouchers.
Support employee engagement initiatives and activities for on-site and remote employees.
Responsible for general administrative tasks such as ordering business cards and logo branded items, processing HR mail, managing and ordering standard office supplies, and maintaining stock of pantry items for employee meetings and visitors.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field highly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of human resource experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Workday is highly preferred.
Payroll/Timekeeping experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, attention to detail, and superior follow-through.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
