GENERAL PURPOSE

The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a value-added team support primarily for Pulsafeeder. The position will include tactical support as well as administrative duties associated to recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll support, employee relations, safety, leave administration, and worker’s compensation leave management. As assigned, incumbent will support HR initiatives supporting employee attraction, development, and Pulsafeeder’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES - Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • The recruitment process to include the administering the onboarding of new employees

  • Assist with annual Performance Management process and Salary Planning processes, as assigned.

  • Maintain employee data in HRIS ensuring data integrity. Process workflows, data changes/updates with accuracy and on a timely basis.

  • Working with Corporate Payroll on assigned payroll processes bi-weekly. Work with HR Manager and Finance to resolve any employee pay issues.

  • Process all worker’s compensation, disability and unemployment claims and support employee relations issues as they arise.

  • Maintain, prepare, and audit reports including headcount, turnover, diversity and other key metrics, as required.

  • Work with a high level of confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive employee or organizational information

  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in HR, talent management and employment law.

  • Partner with EH&S Manager and HR Manager to develop and implement safety programs and training.

  • Working with the HR Team to support the annual engagement survey, data analysis and action plans.

  • Maintain employee files in compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements

  • Other job duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

  • aPHR/PHR/SHRM-CP Certification preferred.

  • 1-3 years in a Human Resources role or a combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with recruiting, developing, and retaining scalable talent

  • Previous experience with HR reporting, compliance reporting, etc. preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, deliver on promises, and drive collaboration with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to facilitate a culture of diversity, inclusion, and teamwork.

  • Front facing with employees, able to gain their trust and confidence

  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and exercises sound judgment.

  • Organized, detailed and excellent at managing resources, data and time.

  • Ability to make sound decisions, escalate issues, and solve problems while working under pressure

  • Proficient with Workday or similar HRIS system; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Ability to travel to Punta Gorda, FL site on a quarterly basis, as needed.
