SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Director of Human Resources is the business group’s functional manager charged with developing, organizing, and executing all Human Resources strategies for the Airtech business. This includes responsibility for the entire employment process, recruitment, employee and labor relations, organizational development, employee compensation, safety, compliance, and employee retention and development. This role supports over 250 employees with multiple sites in the US, Germany, China, and Spain.

STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT & EXECUTION:
Strategic partner to the President responsible for ensuring functional alignment with the business’ go to market strategies and strategic initiatives
Represents function and provides appropriate inputs in business group’s key annual strategic processes: Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Plan, and Annual H.R. Talent Review
Coordinate and manage career development plans based on performance reviews, 360 reviews, Talent/H.R. Review, etc.
Coordinate and manage training initiatives; annual Talent/H.R. Review, leadership development, employee skills training and development
Responsible for the development and capabilities of the Airtech HR Staff
Coordinate and manage iAchieve performance management process
Development of VOE (Voice of Employee) metrics and process improvement projects
ACQUISITION DUE DILIGENCE & INTEGRATION:
Participate as a vital member of the Airtech Leadership team in integration activities as a result of the recent acquisition by IDEX
Ensure Airtech Platform talent development process is robust and supports current and future acquisition requirements
CULTURE & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:
Champion of Airtech Culture, Integrating IDEX values specifically the tenants of Great Teams into the Airtech culture
Point person for interpretation and guidance relative to company policies and procedures.
Manages employee concerns to resolution guides supervisors and managers in addressing employee concerns
Ensures organizational compliance with labor laws and guidelines, including DOL, EEOC, NLRB, etc.
COMPLIANCE & HR ADMINISTRATION:
Develop, implement, and maintain processes that ensure accurate information is in our HRIS systems and that we are compliant with all regulatory bodies
Develop and communicate HR Scorecard to the management team, highlighting HR metrics and their impact on the business
Act as the group’s Ethics Officer to coordinate and manage compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate policy requirements
STAFFING & RECRUITMENT:
Develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan designed to institutionalize top-grading and the continuous improvement of the business’ talent pool
Deliver a recruitment plan that aligns with business goals, incorporates traditional and non-traditional recruitment sources, and ensures the casting of a “wide net” to attract and introduce qualified diverse candidates to the organization
Manage and execute the recruitment process, advertising, job descriptions, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks
Manage and develop relationships with recruitment agencies (temporary and permanent placement).
Develop, execute, and maintain new employee “on-boarding” process
COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & PAYROLL/HRIS:
Coordinate and manage Airtech’s compensation plans; prepare and implement annual salary plans, develop and align compensation plans to drive desired employee and business performance
Maintains HRIS, payroll systems, time and attendance systems, and ensures data integrity
Coordinate and manage benefits plans; annual benefits open enrollment and issue resolution
SAFETY & RISK MANAGEMENT:
Work with Airtech leadership team to implement best-demonstrated safety practices to mitigate risk, reduce exposure and effectively manage claims
Partner with Operations to manage all required and agreed upon safety programs and training
Act as liaison with Workers Compensation insurer to manage all workers compensation claims to closure
B.S. in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
An advanced degree is desired
10+ years of experience in Human Resources Generalist roles, including past supervisory assignment(s)
Experience in audit, acquisition, or integration H.R. processes desired
Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or Lean manufacturing environment is desired
Extensive employee relations experience is required
Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills are required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
Demonstrated ability and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment is required
Approximately 20-30% travel is required
