Human Resources Generalist

Material Processing Technologies (MPT)

Quadro Engineering Corp.

Position Summary:

Serve as a value-added team member and internal consultant to the team at IDEX MPT. This position will include tactical support as well as required administrative duties associated with benefits administration, compensation, recruitment, labour and employee relations, leave administration, talent development, and HR systems.

Reports To: Human Resources Leader

Essential Functions:

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • As the People Champion this role will be the point of contact for onsite employee relations, providing advice and input on general issues and escalating to the HR Leader as necessary

  • Recruits, interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified applicants for open position through collaboration with departmental supervisors to ensure a thorough understanding of skills and competencies required.

  • Drive the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, interviewing, job offer process and advising managers on candidate selection.

  • Execute new employee orientation

  • Working with the HR Team to support the annual engagement survey, data analysis and action plans

  • Ensure compliance across company policies and procedures and ensure they fit the needs and goals of the organization

  • Present as the company culture and employee experience champion within our wellness, DEI and talent management programs

  • Execute payroll administration in conjunction with HR team members.

  • Assist the social committee and leverage as an engagement tool

  • Ensure system and data integrity audits are carried out over the course of the year (employee records, benefit systems, WSIB, Workday, etc.) and function as a subject matter expert for HR systems, metrics, and reporting

  • Work with a high level of confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive employee or organizational information

  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in HR, talent management and employment law.

  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA in Business, Human Resources or a related field

  • CHRP designation

  • 3+ years of experience in HR Generalist roles

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering or Lean manufacturing environment

  • Extensive employee relations experience is a must

  • Demonstrated ability and experience working in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment is required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills

  • Continuous improvement mindset

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
