SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for supporting the HR, management, and employee teams for the Fluid Management business and includes responsibilities in the following functional areas: HRIS maintenance, Payroll administration, time keeping, leave administration and other benefits topics, recruitment activities related to job postings and interview scheduling, onboarding and employee relations. This position is also responsible for supporting the Global Dispensing HR team with key projects. This role is onsite in our Wheeling, Illinois facility.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
As a member of the site HR team, participate in executing day to day human resource related activities and needs. These will include but not be limited to the following:
Manages HRIS, payroll systems, and ensures data integrity
Employee file management: hardcopy and electronic
All payroll activities on a bi-weekly basis including payroll data entry, source document tracking, verification of all payroll activities , back up memo creation and training of leaders as needed for the time keeping system.
Oversee timekeeping activity for all hourly employees
Handles annual benefits open enrollment communications and proactively addresses employee benefit understanding and issue resolution
Support the recruitment process; open requisitions in Workday, assist leaders with writing job descriptions, interview scheduling, candidate hosting while on-site and partnering with our Corporate Talent team on prescreening testing/background checks and drug screens.
Conducts new employee orientation and on-boarding
Drafts certain HR communications and updating communications boards, etc.
Administers the leave administration process – coordinating with leave management vendor, employees and managers
Assists in the administration of HR metrics, reports, surveys, requested by the business
Responsible for submitting Workers Compensation claims
Coordinates and delivers identified training and recognition initiatives
Implements process improvements as necessary
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION LEVEL, and SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
BS/BA or equivalent in Human Resources or related area
Minimum 3 years human resource experience
Strong knowledge of principles and practices of the human resources function
Prior experience supporting hourly employees in a manufacturing environment
Preferred experience working with HRIS e such as Workday, and experience with timekeeping systems like Kronos or Dimensions
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and procedures for recruitment, payroll and benefits
Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus
