POSITION SUMMARY : To contribute towards the strategic and operational leadership and direction of the business with specific responsibility for the promotion, development and implementation of a people focused strategies to support the achievement of business objectives.
REPORTS TO: VP of HR, Fire & Safety
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as a core business partner on the Senior Leadership Team and as a primary business partner to the Site Leader.
To be a role model for the business in terms of interpersonal effectiveness, leadership, management skills and personal qualities as defined within (Company) behavioral competency model.
Motivate, manage and review performance of all direct reports; coach them and support their development together with others in the function who have high potential
Maintain progression and succession planning within the business
Responsible for business and financial planning and management, both in terms of full accountability for own function and in respect of contribution to company strategic and operational plans
To be responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining the internal communications strategy
Maximize quality of customer relationships by actively supporting client focused activities and consistently communicating importance of customer service
Responsible for ensuring that all internal and external business dealings for own function and the company as a whole meet the highest ethical standards and legal requirements
Ensure that the company strives towards continuous improvement of operational processes and ensures that own area continues to meet the changing needs of the customer / market.

To champion a ‘learning’ culture which encourages and measures managers’ ability to improve leadership, management , interpersonal behaviors and functional capability at all levels
To facilitate the future development needs of the business by encouraging active review and management of the Talent Pool at the highest level through diverse learning and development solutions and career development initiatives.
To ensure that our remuneration philosophy and strategy attracts and retains high caliber recruits and employees by rewarding high performance and fostering positive leadership behavior
To liaise with IDEX and legal on all major HR and OD issues that has a legal obligation or implication.
To participate in cross company project teams, taking a leadership role as appropriate, and promote cross functional communication.
To create and maintain a network of external relationships and contacts, to ensure that HR and OD adopts best practice solutions and has access to relevant support and information.
To develop relationships within the wider IDEX HR community to ensure that HR synergies are maximized to the benefit of the wider IDEX organization.
Preferred
PHR, SPHR, SHRM Certifications
7 - 10 years HR and OD experience, including experience at senior management level
Well rounded generalist experience within HR
Demonstrable track record of success in leading an HR function

Employment and other relevant legislation – advanced knowledge
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels in what may be confrontational or emotive situations.
